The facility has a modern open-circulating seawater aquaria system, supporting a diversity of marine research projects.

The marine laboratory has a range of equipment for aquaria systems.

Microalgal cultures are supplied in 250mL, 500mL and 1000 mL aliquots up to a maximum of 5000 mL for each species.

The marine lab supports modern laboratories outfitted with facilities for conducting research on biodiversity, systematics, aquaculture, biotechnology, water quality analytics, larval culture, histology and others.

The marine laboratory has a range of equipment for laboratory research.

Consumables are available for purchase for all registered researchers.

The facility has two Research Vessels, supporting field use.

Full accommodation facilities including dormitories, visiting scientist rooms, laundry and a fully equipped modern kitchen. The dormitories sleep up to 25 pax.

All offices are shared spaces. Open plan offices may sit up to 10 pax, whilst smaller senior researcher offices usually sit 2-3 staff each.

The marine station has seminar and meeting rooms which can comfortably accommodate up to 50 pax.
