Laser In-Situ Scattering and Transmissiometry (LISST-200X) device is designed to cover a wide range of concentrations of particles. The measurement of scattering at multiple angles is done with a collimated beam illuminating particles in water. The concentration where multiple scattering can take effect is dependent on particle size. The finer the particles are, the lower the maximum concentration where multi scattering will occur.
What kind of research is applicable / suitable for this equipment?
- Measure the size and concentration of particles suspended in water.
