LABORATORY EQUIPMENT
flowcam 8410
The FlowCam is a dynamic liquid imaging particle analyzer that rapidly takes images of magnified particles flowing through a fluidic system. This is then followed by the use of an image analysis software to characterize and identify the particles. The system analyzes thousands of particles in less than a minute and comprehensively characterize the size, count, morphology, and identity of subvisible in the water sample.
What kind of research is applicable / suitable for this equipment?
- Zooplankton and phytoplankton analysis and characterization
- Ballast water monitoring
- Harmful algal blooms monitoring
- Population dynamics
- Invasive species studies
- Blue carbon research
